HOW IT WORKS
Strategy >> Story >> Scale
STRATEGY // LEARN Your Business
We start with your business goals, not camera angles. Who are your customers? What do they currently believe about you… and what do you need them to believe? This is the foundation everything else is built on. It's the thinking that separates marketing from content for content's sake.
STORY // BUILD YOUR MESSAGE
Once we understand your audience and goals, we craft a messaging framework that speaks their language. Then we build a content roadmap: a sequence of videos that reinforce each other, each one deepening your audience's understanding of why they should choose you.
SCALE // Create momentum
This is where strategy becomes content. We produce professionally crafted videos at a regular cadence, optimized for your channels and needs. Month after month, your presence grows, your message sharpens, and your audience starts to see you as the obvious choice. That's momentum. And it compounds over time.
OUR WORK (some of OUR FAVS)
In an industry that chases super-clean video perfection via gimbals and drones, we decided to include an important part of this hardscaping company’s story: the work gets done at the ground level. We tell ASA’s brand story with honest handheld footage and teaching moments on their social channels and website. Icing on the cake: industry heavyweights have started replicating our shooting style and even lifting language we crafted to describe ASA’s work. That’s an elevation of a brand to leadership status!
ASA OUTDOOR LIVING
Working in some of Philadelphia’s most challenged neighborhoods, Productive Lives mobilizes everyday people to meet extraordinary needs: fighting food insecurity, mentoring youth, supporting addiction recovery, and caring for the unhoused. Magic Friday Productions is proud to support this work by amplifying the voices of those who serve and draw attention to the needs of those whose lives and spirits are being restored through documentary-style video storytelling.

INGAGE
Having a top-quality SaaS sales presentation platform wasn’t enough for this nimble business. They realized they had the in-house talent and experience to coach people to be better sales reps. Magic Friday is helping them realize both arms of their business through video podcasts, an instructional series, social content, and yes, even onsite set construction.
Businesses lose if they stay still. We recognise that ourselves, and so we’re constantly chasing new ways to hone our craft and produce better results for our clients. Sometimes it’s an searching for a new editing style. Other times it’s lighting, or maybe we’re just squeezing more life out of a piece of gear we haven’t used in a while. Here’s a supercut of some of those experiments.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Posting and marketing aren't the same thing. Posting is… activity. Marketing is intentional communication designed to change how your audience thinks about you. If your current content isn't consistently bringing in new business or strengthening relationships with existing customers, it's activity, not strategy. That's exactly what we fix.
-
That's one of the most common things we hear, and it's almost never the video's fault. It's the strategy behind it. A well-produced video without a clear message, a defined audience, and a distribution plan is just expensive content. We build the strategy first so the video has a job to do before we ever hit record.
-
Most video companies start with cameras and lights… focusing on output and assuming the strategy’s handled by someone else. We start with questions about your audience, your goals, and what you need people to believe about your business. That approach comes from 20+ years in ad agency creative departments, working on campaigns for brands you know. You're not just hiring a production crew. You're hiring a strategic marketing partner who happens to make exceptional video.
-
The strategies that fuel Fortune 500 companies are universally relevant, but they rarely get applied at the small and mid-sized business level. That's our whole model. The principles of audience understanding, clear messaging, and consistent communication work regardless of your industry or size. What changes is how we tailor them to your specific business and customers.

Item descriptionEvery engagement is scoped based on your goals, your content needs, and the cadence that makes sense for your business. What we can tell you is that you're not paying agency overhead: no big teams, no inflated fees, no unnecessary layers. You're paying for focused, experienced strategic thinking and professional video production applied directly to your growth. The best next step is a conversation: let's figure out what makes sense for you.
-
It's especially for you. Large companies have entire marketing departments and agency relationships to manage their messaging. You don't… which means you're often competing without the strategic advantage they take for granted. We level that playing field by bringing the same caliber of thinking to your business at a scale that works for you.
-
You can, but here's what we've learned: one video is like one ad. It might get a reaction, but it won't build momentum. Your audience needs to encounter your message repeatedly before they trust you enough to act. That's why we structure our engagements over 3-6 months; not to lock you in, but because that's genuinely how long it takes to start seeing content marketing work. We want you to see results, not just deliverables.
-
We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
-
Content marketing is a long game, and anyone who promises overnight results isn't being straight with you. What typically happens: in month one we establish your messaging and create your foundational content. By months two and three your audience starts recognizing you consistently. By months four through six you start seeing real traction: more inbound conversations, stronger brand recognition, a growing library of content working for you 24/7.
-
We start with a strategy session to understand your business, your audience, and your goals. From there we build a content roadmap and establish your messaging framework. Then we move into monthly production - typically 2-4 videos per month, with ongoing refinement based on what's working. You stay focused on running your business. We stay focused on making sure your content is doing its job.
-
As involved as makes sense for you. Some clients want to be closely collaborative: reviewing concepts, weighing in on scripts, being hands-on throughout. Others prefer to hand it off and trust us to deliver. We adapt to your style. What we do need upfront is your time, your knowledge of your business, and honest feedback. After that, we handle the rest.
-
Yes. Everything we produce together belongs to you, even the unused footage (who knows, it may be useful later!). Use it across your website, social channels, email marketing, sales presentations… wherever it serves your business.
-
That's completely understandable. And honestly, if your messaging isn't clear yet, that's exactly where we start. You don't need to have everything figured out before we talk. The strategy session at the beginning of every engagement is designed to help get things sorted. Many of our best engagements started with a client who wasn't sure they were ready.
